Rev. Rebecca Baird, Pastor
Pastor Rebecca Baird began ministry with St. James in August 2023. She grew up in Colorado and moved to Iowa to attend Wartburg College, graduating with a B.A. in religion in 2018. Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Tim, and became an elementary school librarian and special education substitute teacher. Though education has a special place in her heart, God nudged her to attend Wartburg Seminary. During her time in seminary, she served as Wartburg College's Pastoral Intern and she graduated with a Master of Divinity in May 2023.

Pastor Rebecca and Tim enjoy spending time with their twin boys, Ben and Oliver, singing, drinking coffee, and snuggling with their dog, Milo. Pastor Rebecca loves connecting people to the message of the Gospel through worship and service. She'll never turn down strawberry ice cream, always seeks to ask tough questions, and enjoys walking with people of all ages as they live into their callings as beloved children of God.

Syd Brinkman, Parish Administrator
Sydney (Syd) Brinkman became the parish administrator for St. James in October 2017. As parish administrator, Syd maintains the congregation calendar and carries out office duties. Syd is a lifelong member of St. James and enjoys life in Allison with her husband Randy.
